The latter half of the statement, finding religion, sounds just like an excuse.

The Atlanta Humane Society has been receiving Vick jerseys and are using them to clean the kennels. Do you think it would be better if the Atlanta Humane Society took the high road and helped Vick redeem himself by becoming their celebrity spokesperson?
