Driving home from work the other day, Air Supply's "All Out Of Love" came on the radio. Despite the hilariously hokey melody and lyrics, I started thinking...are we in fact all out of love? What has happened to the love song? Has it changed for better or for worse? I guess that's for you to decide.

akitaken's answers.
How would you answer?

SpitzTunes -- Ya Gotta Love It!

"Love songs - if I had a voice, I'd sing them at the local watering hole, and go home happy!"
~Spitz~

The love song--a timeless classic--perfect for heartwarming first dates or for the most vicious of breakups. Do you think love songs have changed over the last 5 decades?

"At first I thought it was infatuation,
But whoa, it's lasted so long.
Now I find myself wanting
To marry you and take you home,"
-Sam Cook, "You Send Me" 1957

vs.

"And I'd give up forever to touch you
Cause I know that you feel me somehow.
You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be
And I don't want to go home right now,"
-The Goo Goo Dolls, "Iris" 1998

Though life would still go on believe me,

God only knows what I'd be without you,"
-The Beach Boys, "God Only Knows"
"Green eyes,
Yeah the spotlight shines upon you,
And how could anybody deny you?
I came here with a load,
And it feels so much lighter now I've met you.
And honey you should know that I could never go on without you,"
